Job Description:
* Coordinate daily shipping activities and ensure timely movement of goods.
* Plan and schedule domestic and international shipments based on customer requirements.
* Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers.
* Prepare and verify shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and delivery documents.
* Book shipments and coordinate vessel, flight, and transportation schedules.
* Track shipments from pickup to final delivery and provide regular status updates.
* Monitor shipment schedules, transit times, delivery dates, and transportation costs.
* Coordinate with customs clearance teams to ensure smooth clearance of shipments.
* Verify shipment quantities, product details, addresses, and documentation before dispatch.
* Handle shipping delays, documentation issues, damaged cargo, and other shipment-related problems.
* Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance teams.
* Maintain accurate records of shipments, bookings, delivery details, and shipping documents.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable shipping and customs regulations.
* Prepare shipping reports and provide regular updates to management.
* Support cost-control initiatives and identify ways to improve shipping efficiency.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Shipping, International Business, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Diploma or equivalent qualification in Shipping, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain Management may also be considered.
* Additional certification in Shipping, Freight Forwarding, Customs, or International Trade is an advantage.
